This may be the issue for others too, so perhaps try it once you are sure you've tried everything else. So my guess is there is an issue with the Mac software and operating systems which is retaining a 'ghost' of some programming that corrupts the Wacom settings. (unfortunately I now have to transfer my mail etc accounts, and hopefully not the corrupted file. This driver also does not support the Cintiq 12WX (DTZ-1201W) or the Cintiq 21UX 2 (DTK-2100). Note that this driver does not support macOS 10.12. All to no avail.įinally the problem was solved by creating a new and clean user on the Mac, and loading the driver into that user's account - now the tablet runs perfectly. Added support to the Wacom Desktop Center for older Intuos 4 pen tablets. After the installation, the software suggested to restarted the laptop, I did so. Wacom advised a whole new un-install and reinstall, update all programmes and operating systems (I use Creative Suite), and finally a full search of all the files for anything with wacom or tablet in the file or folder name and clear the trash can - and then clean re-install again. I completely deleted the Wacom utilities, restarted my MacBook, and downloaded latest driver from the verified wacom web. I un-installed the old Wacom Driver, installed the new one and plugged it in - it was terrible.
I loved it, so did a quick search of blogs and then replaced it with a brand new Wacom Intuos Art (Medium) Pen and Touch CTH-690. When I updated to Sierra (due to instability in my Mac) the old wacom pretty much stopped working. I have an Imac and an old Wacom Intuos 3. LU88, and other frustrated Mac/Wacom users.
